Terms of Use

1. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use FontNotes on Apple devices you own or control, in accordance with the App Store Terms of Service and these Terms.

2. The Service

FontNotes is a note-taking app that lets you style notes with fonts, colors, and related features, optionally sync via iCloud, and optionally remove ads via a one-time in-app purchase.

3. Third-Party Fonts and Websites

The App may let you browse and download fonts from third-party websites (including but not limited to DaFont, 1001 Fonts, and Google Fonts) or import your own font files.

• You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the legal right to download, install, and use any font, including commercial or personal use restrictions in that font’s license.
• We do not own, license, warrant, or endorse third-party fonts or websites.
• We are not liable for license violations, copyright claims, malware, broken downloads, or other issues arising from third-party fonts or sites.
• Font providers’ terms and licenses apply in addition to these Terms.

4. In-App Purchases

• The App may offer a one-time, non-consumable “Remove Ads” purchase through Apple’s App Store / StoreKit. There is no subscription.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID. Purchases are subject to Apple’s terms and refund policies.
• Restore purchases on other devices signed in with the same Apple ID via the App’s restore option.
• Removing ads does not change your obligations regarding third-party fonts or other Terms.

5. Advertising

Unless you have purchased “Remove Ads,” the App may display advertisements served by Google AdMob. See our Privacy Policy at https://fontnotes.app/privacy for how advertising-related data is handled and how regional consent works.

6. Your Content

Notes and fonts you create or store in the App remain yours. You are responsible for backing up important content. Optional iCloud sync uses Apple’s services; we are not responsible for Apple outages, account issues, or data loss outside our reasonable control.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the App, including attempting to reverse engineer it (except where permitted by law), interfere with ads or purchases fraudulently, or use the App for unlawful purposes.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP, THIRD-PARTY FONTS OR WEBSITES, ADS, OR PURCHASES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM (OR ZERO IF YOU PAID NOTHING TO US DIRECTLY).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

10. Termination

Your license ends if you stop using the App or if we discontinue it. Sections that by nature should survive (including disclaimers, limitations of liability, and third-party font provisions) survive termination.

11. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy at https://fontnotes.app/privacy explains how information is handled in connection with the App and Website and is incorporated by reference.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of your country of residence, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence apply.
